It's been awhile since i listed anything new!  

Introducing Pink Panier 

(panier is basket in french...so sweet!)

Pattern includes 2 sizes...this 45" x 55" below and a 65" x 85" size.

Pink Panier was really fun to custom quilt too!

Both quilts are included in one pattern!

In a couple weeks, I'll be sharing a tutorial on how to create these pencil tips...but for now, i'm heading to Kansas City to Spring Quilt Market!  So excited!!

Sunflowers On Parade.

There have been a few 'And So It Crows' quilts getting finished this Fall!  

Love how this quilter changed the pattern by adding pumpkins!

Here's a look at the full pattern quilted with an all over panto called Marmalade.  Looks terrific!  Quilted by Kim Coons of Goldendale, Washington

Don't be intimidated by all those small pieces!  For the sunflower petals, bird tails and beaks, I use the Magic 8 Method to create half square triangles. 
The pattern calls for enlarged fabric squares, making 8 half square triangles at a time and bigger than needed. This allows each half square triangle to be trimmed to size, creating accuracy.  Sweeeeet!

Country Plates

Over my Christmas break i was able to work on one of my own quilts!  Just like the cobbler's children have no shoes, i rarely get my own tops quilted.
So with that said....here's a bunch of pictures!!

The starting of Country Plates...

 Fabric line is mostly Walk in the Park but any cute 30's line would be great!

Did I say a 'bunch' of pictures?  Lol

In Country Plates, there are a total of 20 Farmer's Wife blocks using the Farmer's Wife Quilt Revival Classes

Class 1 and 2 gives modern rotary cutting and piecing instructions for making 20 blocks AND class 2 includes a 10 block table runner pattern, set similar to my Country Plates quilt. 

My 'Set Your Quilt'  pattern includes how to create a 'Zigzag On point' setting along with 5 other settings and math charts so you can determine a quilt style and size that works for you. 

Sashed with freehand spines and feathers...with swags in the final border.

I stitched in the ditch around each block and cross hatched 2" inside the blocks.  Used Linda Hrcka's QP Curved templates for circles to create a 'plate', then feathered inside each.

Kind of reminds me of white paper plates...

so i named this quilt 'Country Plates'!

...and this is how it will return to Lisa.

 When it is all bound and washed, it will have that soft, snuggly, loved appeal.

My Lucky Dog and Sweetpea

Here is a portrait of my Lucky dog painted and framed by my Aunt Loretta.

This is Sweetpea.  Sweetpea was raised along side my two sons and their cousins.  She is no longer with us. :/  My mom decided she would like to have a wolf and Sweetpea became a huge part of our family. Sweetpea kept watch over all 10 of  the grand kids. Here she is keeping my son Mason in line.
