I'm so inspired by Gloria's 1920's Farmer's Wife Sampler quilt!
Her use of colors are wonderful and her added border around each block takes this quilt to new levels.
Gloria successfully plowed her way through each block using the modern rotary cutting and piecing instructions found in my Etsy Shop
Then, unlike the original quilt layout from the 1920's Farmer's Wife Sampler Book, Gloria added a border around each block.
It's it wonderful??
Those cutting measurements are found in the photo below. Thanks to Gloria for sharing these measurements.
Love it Love it LOVE IT!!
Here is a look at the original quilt layout...you can see how that extra border in Gloria's quilt, really enhances each block!

Thank you, Karen and thank you, Gloria. This is a wonderful lay-out and the sashing is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI have that book, and hope to make the blocks some day, so thank you for the heads up on the pdfs. That would be very helpful. Her quilt is just gorgeous!
