What a fun block to make!
Looks a bit difficult, but it's not! Entirely machine pieced too.
Energy was provided, and gifts appeared daily at each machine.
Almost every time, the seams line up perfectly! No kidding!!
NO Y~SEAMS EITHER!!
On the wall, Sandy's (awesome instructor) finished sample is underneath her second go around. Why did I not take a picture of the finished quilt? :/
Over 20+ 'retreaters' met in Oregon from as far north as Arlington, Wa. to California's Bay area.
Just the nicest group of quilters...
...it was a tearful goodbye
Stunning setting, accommodations were clean and comfortable with the perfect area for lots of sewing machines, plenty of couches for hand stitching in the evening and commercial kitchen where the Fall 2017 Top Ten Quilt Shop owners, Jennie and Jacie from Momma Made It prepared 3 meals a day from scratch!
Here are my Tumbling Stars...i tried my hand at both the small and the larger size, both equally fun.
The Tumbling Stars pattern was designed by a retired quilt shop owner and given to Momma Made It exclusively for the retreat.
It is not available at this time for purchase. If it does, i'll let you know.
Jennie and Jacie will be hosting a Spring Retreat and information will be available on their website soon.
Learn, Share, Quilt!...and 'Retreat'!

What a lovely retreat! Can you please tell me the source of the pattern? Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love your Tumbling Stars blocks. They remind me of Camille Roskelley's Starlight pattern but without the strips.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful time--love the littlest stars--so cute!!
