ReplyDeleteHow does one pick just one favorite spring flower? Crocus pops it's head up first daring the snow to stop it. Tulips, daffodils & hyacinths with their wonderful fragrance follow along soon after. Buttercups and Lily of the Valley remind me of the magical little garden bed at Grandmas where I was sure I'd see a fairy flitting about if I looked closely. Nothing smells as sweet as freesia...and oh when the trees are in bloom, pristine white and shades of bright and baby pink, nothing is quite so spectacular on a spring day.
ReplyDeleteand oh yes...I'm in Idaho where we are just beginning to see the trees and forsythia begin to bloom.

I tried for years to talk my husband into a Tree Farm with a little Christmas Shoppe. This past Christmas, more than ever before, I missed those visits to the tree farm watching our kids gallop through the trees, looking for the best tree, preferably one with a nest in it.
