PATTERN CORRECTIONS

The Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt Class 9

Block #93 (Swallow) page 220
In the bottom right hand corner of the block (shown in the book) is a small red square which measures 1-1/4". The cutting instructions do call for red 1-1/4" square.

In the book, this red square looks like it should be sewn to the red rectangle seen directly above the square.   This seems kind of silly...to sew a red square to a red rectangle...why not just make the red rectangle bigger?  That would make more sense.
To do this, eliminate the small red square in the cutting instructions.  The instructions ask that you cut 2 red rectangles measuring 1-1/4" x 3-1/4".  Instead, cut one of those rectangles 1-1/4" x 3-7/8" and follow the pattern instructions.

In my initial fw quilt, i did use the small square and substituted the red colored fabric (shown in the book) for the cream.

Block #94 (Tall Pine Tree) page 221
The cutting instructions for the cream and gold colors are reversed.  The cream cuts, should be the gold cuts and the gold should be the cream.  However...either way, the block will come out fine.  Look at the block in the book, based upon my written cutting instructions, the only difference is the colors are reversed.
